Built around the writer

The idea was to bring feedback, writing tools and opportunities into one screenwriting workspace. AI is part of that experience: it helps a writer explore their work, while the writer makes the creative decisions.

I designed and built the product myself, using AI development tools alongside hands-on product decisions and iteration. My contribution covers the interface, application logic, AI features, database connections and payment integration, as well as the brand and visual content.

One connected product

Script analysis

A place to submit a screenplay and work through structured AI feedback, with scores and a report that a writer can review alongside their own judgement.

Reader personalities

Distinct perspectives on a screenplay, each given a recognisable character. I developed their visual direction and animations as part of the product identity.

Writing and discovery

An editor for working on the next draft and a directory for exploring screenwriting competitions. Both belong to the same writing experience.

Making AI usable

The work involves more than adding an AI response to a page. The interface needs to organise that response, give it context and make the next action understandable. The reader characters add a visual identity to the different perspectives, while the editor keeps the writing itself close at hand.

The platform combines React and Next.js with Supabase and Stripe. Building the experience across those systems has meant working on both the visible product and the integrations that support it.

The result is a live product that can be explored and demonstrated. It is my clearest example of taking responsibility for the idea, the implementation and the ongoing development of an AI application.
